Connectify and Stape both host your server-side Google Tag Manager container on your own first-party domain. The question is what happens on the days that matter most: when a campaign takes off, when a sale goes live, or when traffic doubles overnight.
On Stape’s Pro plan, your container is paused once you hit 110% of your request limit. On every Connectify paid plan, your tracking keeps running. Always.
Why teams choose Connectify
- Your data never stops. No paused containers and no missing conversions in Google Ads, Meta or GA4 during your busiest days.
- European by default. Connectify is an EU company, and your server container runs in the EU as standard.
- Live in 20 minutes, with support that speaks your language. Live chat in Dutch and English, including on the free plan.

Your tracking keeps running on your busiest days
Server-side tracking exists to make sure your conversion data arrives. So the worst moment for it to stop is exactly when you’re getting the most traffic.
At Stape, a container on the Pro plan is paused as soon as it reaches 110% of its monthly request limit, without a grace period. It stays paused until the next billing cycle, unless you upgrade. You can turn on auto-upgrade to prevent this, but then you move to the next tier (Business, 5 million requests), even if you only needed a little more for one month.
At Connectify, a paid container never pauses. Requests above your plan are processed as usual and added to your bill at a fixed rate: €1.50 per 10,000 on Starter, €1.25 on Plus and €1.00 on Pro.
A campaign pushes your Starter plan from 500,000 to 600,000 requests this month? Every conversion gets through, and you pay €15 extra. Growing steadily? Move up a plan whenever it suits you, and until then you don’t lose a single event.
European by default
Connectify is a European company, and your server container runs in the EU as standard. There’s no separate entity to sign up with and no extra product to select.
Stape offers EU hosting through a separate company, Stape Europe. With Connectify, it’s simply how the platform works.
Live in 20 minutes
Connectify is built around the Google Tag Manager workflow you already know.

Pricing compared
| Requests per month | Connectifybilled annually | Stapebilled annually |
|---|---|---|
| 500,000 | Starter – €16.08/month | Pro – $17/month |
| 2,500,000 | Plus – €49.42/month | Not offered |
| 5,000,000 | Not offered | Business – $83/month |
| 10,000,000 | Pro – €107.92/month | Not offered |
| 20,000,000 | Not offered | Enterprise – $167/month |
The entry price is comparable. The difference is in the middle. Many webshops and lead-gen sites outgrow 500,000 requests but are nowhere near 5 million. Connectify has a plan for exactly that step at €54.95. With Stape, the next step is $83.
Each website gets its own Connectify plan, so every domain pays for what it actually uses. For agencies, that also makes costs per client easy to see and pass on.
Ad blockers: covered
Connectify’s Script Anonymizer serves Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics scripts in a way that makes them much harder for ad blockers and browser tracking prevention to recognise. Stape offers similar functionality with Custom Loader. Either way, you’re covered.
Working with an agency?
Many businesses have server-side tracking set up and managed by their marketing agency. Connectify is built for that: a shared team account, the same setup for every website, and an agency that keeps working in the GTM environment it already knows.
Are you an agency yourself? Connectify has a partner programme with migration help and priority support. View the partner programme →
When is Stape a better fit?
If you need an enterprise contract with a private cluster, a dedicated IP, SSO or a custom DPA, Stape’s Custom plan offers those. For everything else server-side GTM has to do, Connectify has you covered.
Frequently asked questions
Is Connectify a good Stape alternative? Yes. You get managed server-side GTM on your own subdomain, ad blocker protection and GTM templates, with EU hosting as standard and tracking that never pauses on a paid plan.
What happens if I go over my request limit? On paid plans your container keeps processing, and extra requests are billed per 10,000 at your plan’s rate. The free plan stops at 7,500 requests per month.
Can I move from Stape to Connectify? Yes. Your tags, triggers and variables live in your GTM server container, not at your hosting provider. You connect that same container to Connectify and update the DNS for your tracking subdomain.
Do I need a developer? Usually not. You need access to GTM and your domain’s DNS settings. A standard setup takes around 20 minutes, and our live chat is there if you get stuck.
Server-side tracking is there to make sure your data arrives. With Connectify, it always does.
